About BTL Fest
Beyond the Label Festival (BTL Fest) is an annual signature event dedicated to fostering greater community support and encouraging help-seeking behaviour by addressing the stigma associated with mental health conditions.
The main festival grounds at Plaza Singapura are non-ticketed and open to all. You can look forward to educational workshops, interactive booths, games, and performances that promote mental well-being in an inclusive and engaging space.
Please note: While general admission is non-ticketed, workshops require registration and talks are ticketed on a first come, first served basis due to limited capacity.
Breaking Stigma, Championing Workplace Mental Health
This year’s theme "Breaking Stigma, Championing Workplace Mental Health" shines light on the importance of honest conversations about mental health at work. By sharing our stories and listening without judgment, we can foster a culture of support, and understanding in the workplace.
Mental health affects 1 in 7 Singaporeans in their lifetime yet 8 in 10 are afraid to seek help for fear of stigma. Many wait over a year before reaching out. These figures serve as a timely reminder that mental health should be nurtured not just at an individual level, but also within our workplaces. After all, we spend a significant part of our lives at work and a supportive environment can make all the difference.
Encouragingly, progress is being made. The percentage of employers implementing at least two mental well-being initiatives rose from 16.1% in 2019 to 42.5% in 2021. Still, building a supportive culture is a shared responsibility and each of us can play a part in creating workplaces where mental health is prioritised, not stigmatised.
