In FEEDfragileBACK&#x27;s (pronounced Feedback Fragile) special cyanotype workshops, visual artist and printmaker Nathan Tan will demonstrate and work with participants on the variety of artistic possibilities contained within cyanotype, ranging from fine object captures to abstract textural collages. Through exploring printmaking’s diverse possibilities as a modern art form, FEEDfragileBACK’s works examine the overlooked lives and interactions tucked in Singapore’s fresh waterways, reflecting upon urgent ecosystemic truths hiding in our mundane surroundings. The exhibition is part of Art Outreach’s HEARTH open call programme, a community initiative supporting independent Singapore-based art practitioners.About the ArtistNathan Tan (b. 1995) is a Singaporean artist and printmaker. His practice revolves around documenting everyday recordings of human trails across different corners of Singapore, via methods including found objects, isolated sounds, unique visuals, and print compositions. Through his technically proficient and stylistically varied printmaking, he provides windows for audiences into his ecosystemic narratives, which include both environmental and anthropological concerns. Nathan has been affiliated with STPI, as a former workshop instructor at STPI’s 2021 Open House. A backer for the Open Print Exchange project, Nathan has exhibited in group showcases, including 2022’s “SOAD x Collabs Showcase” at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and 2021’s “Imagining New Futures”, held at Gillman Barracks. He is currently graduating from NAFA with a Diploma in Fine Art, having previously served as the Student Representative for NAFA’s Fine Art Programme (2020-22).Follow @natan.art.studio on InstagramImportant InformationRecommend for all ages (5 and above) to join the workshop.There is strictly NO refund for this event. If you are entering Gillman Barracks from the side entrance where Bus Stop 15049 Opp Alexandra Retail Ctr is, walk all the way straight. You should pass by the previous space of NTU CCA in about 200m. Walk ahead a little more to see a cluster of galleries (Block 47) with brick wall exterior. Look out for our event poster at Art Outreach, we are there!If you are driving, there are 2 main car parks - Car Park A and Car Park B.
