FACT #1: The BMAT test season clashes with the major exam period.

The next test date for the BMAT is in November which means it's also exam season for those of you in high school. For those of you taking the Singapore A-Levels or IB November session , it will be right smack in the middle of your papers. We always advise students to start preparing a few months before to avoid panicking at the last moment whilst revising for your major exams.

FACT #2: You can only take the BMAT once in an admissions cycle.

Yes, this means that you can only attempt it once every year. In the event that you did not manage to achieve your desired scores, you'd have to wait another 12 months to retake the test. Taking a gap year might not be the worst thing but preparing for the test again will certainly be frustrating.

FACT #3: Acing the BMAT is not easy.

Strategy is everything when it comes to the BMAT. The first 2 sections of the test will only allow you 1-2 minutes to answer each question - and that's not a lot of time given that critical thinking skills and scientific knowledge will need to be applied. By going into the test equipped with smart strategies and content knowledge, your chances of getting top scores will be that much higher.
