The author of the book, Russ Neu, has worked in corporate social responsibility and is now promoting not-for- profit organisations and social enterprises. He has gathered the stories in this book through conversations with Du Cong, translated interviews and documents from transcripts by Ye Tian Lin of Du Cong’s stories, as well as direct fieldwork with the people mentioned in the book.
