Book Rangers Club

10 monthly sessions

15 June 2024 – 17 May 2025

Saturdays, 2pm – 3pm (children between 7 and 8 years)

Saturdays, 3.30pm – 4:30pm (children between 9 and 10 years)

Sessions will be conducted online via Zoom

The Book Rangers Club is a Tamil language reading club for children between 7 and 10 years to instil reading and writing interest through creative and fun-filled means. 2024 will see the introduction of new syllabus, storybooks and activities. The club is now fully digital where all sessions will be conducted via NLB’s official online Zoom meeting platform.

The club will commence in June 2024 and will run for 10 months, on every 3rd Saturday of the month, excluding public holidays, January and December. Qualified facilitators will conduct the 1 hour sessions. The syllabus covers storytelling, introduction of books in various fiction genres, fun activities and book-inspired content creation such as creative writing, illustration and dramatization.


The requirements of joining the club are as below:

Participant must be between 7 and 8 years old to enrol in Group 1 and between 9 and 10 years old to enrol in Group 2.

Participant must take Tamil as his/her second language.

Participants must reside in Singapore.

Priority will be given to Singapore citizens and permanent residents.

Kindly register your child at least 1 week before commencement of the club sessions or until seats are taken up. You will receive a system generated confirmation note indicating your successful registration. Our personnel will also email you at a later date to share more information on the zoom meeting details to access the club sessions online and the google link for the club's printable materials.

While it’s highly recommended for participating children to register for and attend all 10 sessions to maximize the benefits, there is also the option to select specific dates. There is no payment involved in joining the club.
