This is a funk/disco-only battle, with two categories designed to bring out your musicality, creativity, and party spirit:

1 v 1 Locking Rookie Battle:
For dancers who have never entered the final rounds in a battle.
Perfect for those new to freestyle or coming from choreography backgrounds—this is your space to explore, grow, and get funky in a supportive environment.
For our 1v1 Locking Rookie Battle, we’ve got the incredible Maau on judging duty—bringing experience, insight, and funk finesse.

2 v 2 Allstyle Battle with Funk/Disco Music:
Grab a partner and bring your style! This category is open to all dance styles, but every round will be set to funk and disco tracks. Expect grooves, surprises, and a whole lot of soul.
For the 2v2 All Style Battle, our powerhouse panel of judges includes Vi, Francesca, and Brooke, each bringing their unique flavor and deep love for the culture.
