Sis Sylvia Bay has dedicated herself to the study and practice of the Buddha's teachings since 1992. She holds a BA (Hons) in Buddhist Studies from the Buddhist & Pali University of Sri Lanka, and was a lecturer with her alma mater. She also has a Masters in International Public Policy from John Hopkins School of Advanced Studies. Since 2001, Sis Sylvia has been a regular speaker on Buddhist doctrines and their practical applications at local and regional Buddhist organisations. In 2013, she published her first book “Between The Lines: An Analytical Appreciation of Buddha’s Life”. She is now working on another book titled "Towards The Light: the Buddha's Guide to a Heavenly Rebirth
Bro Dr Tan Ho Soon
Dr. Tan Ho Soon is the Founding Director of Nalanda Institute, Malaysia. He was appointed a Lecturer since 1999 by the International Buddhist University. Besides establishing the Nalanda Institute, Bro Tan also founded the Sri Serdang Buddhist House, Nalanda Buddhist Society and the Nalanda Dharma School for teenagers. Bro Tan graduated with a degree in marketing and international business from the UK and earned an MBA and a doctorate degree in Business. He is also a graduate of the Buddhist & Pāḷi University of Sri Lanka. Bro Tan has been invited to speak at various Buddhist centres and conferences throughout Malaysia, as well as in 16 other countries in Asia and Europe.
