- Upcycling Cosmetic Product Waste with Innovation - Aligned with Shiseido Group’s global Sustainable Beauty Initiative, Shiseido Asia Pacific is seeking innovative ideas on how their end of shelf life products could be upcycled meaningfully to create new products with new value for what would otherwise have been discarded.
- Reducing Food Waste via Innovative Solutions and Smart Design - In light of changing dining lifestyles of customers post-pandemic, Burger King Singapore is looking out for designers to explore the multiple uses of packaging and innovative solutions that preserve the quality of the dining experience, reduce food and packaging waste while optimising the investment in material for doing so.
This session is suitable for:
- Designers who are keen to upcycle end-of-life personal care and beauty products (packaging and/or product formulation).
- Design professionals who are keen to develop the sustainable food supply chain.
- Sustainable design enthusiasts.

This event is part of a series of Engagement & Sharing Sessions under the Good Design Research Initiative (GDR) presented by the DesignSingapore Council.

About the Speakers
Ms Jiayun Fang is the Regional Corporate Sustainability Manager of Shiseido Asia Pacific. Her role includes leading Corporate Sustainability for the region and she is responsible for developing and driving strategies aligned with Shiseido Group's Sustainable Beauty Initiative in "Realising a Better World".
Mr Kevin Lim is the Innovation and Marketing Lead at Burger King Singapore. Having partaken in beefing up the digital transformation of the business, he now devotes his time to grilling up innovative products and processes. He lives and dies by the power of holistic and creative marketing campaigns.
