 Building Healthy Communities Workshop

Learn how to find health statistics on the challenges facing your community through the Building Healthy Communities training workshop. This training is designed for participants who are interested in analyzing key health findings within their community, and can be used to mobilize friends and neighbors, advocate for improved health, secure greater resources, and guide community planning. The Building Healthy Communities online health profiles is specifically designed for BHC communities to obtain a snapshot of key CHIS survey findings to support local efforts.
Participants will learn how to use the California Health Interview Survey ( CHIS)  data tools and how to produce results that you could use for planning, funding proposals, outreach, education, advocacy. AskCHIS, enables customized searches for county, region or statewide health statistics on a wide range of topics. The AskCHIS Web tool makes finding health statistics easy and fun!
