“On 1st Sept 2013 the Fire Safety Act was amended to include all premises with Fire Safety Managers must set up a Company Emergency Response Team (CERT). The owner or occupier of the premises can be found guilty of an offence and is liable for a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or BOTH.”

Overview of Course

CERT First Aid with CPR and AED Course is designed for Emergency Responders who required the knowledge and skill sets to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as well as administer the basic first aid required during incident before the arrival of medical assistance.

Upon successful completion of course, a certification with 2 years validity will be issued.

Who Should Attend?

The course is for Company Emergency Response Team Members.

Course Content

The participants should achieve the following competencies upon completion of the course:

• Duties and Responsibilities of a First Aider
• Handling and Transportation of the Injured
• Circulation and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and AED
• Circulatory System, Wounds, Bleeding and Shock
• Bones, Joints, Muscle Injuries
• Burn Injuries

Time: 9.00am to 6.00pm ( 1 day)

Course Fees: S$110 per pax (all inclusive)

Accreditation: CERT First Aid with CPR and AED Certificate (2 years validity) accredited by SRFAC and SCDF upon successful completion of course and assessment.

10 CPD points.

Are there requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age: 12 years old above.

Re-requisites: Must be medically fit with no pre-exisiting medical conditions such as knee, spinal, joint injury. Please consult your doctor before attending the course.

How to I pay for the course?

Upon registration, an invoice will be sent to your email address. Payment can be done by Cheque, Cash, NETS, Bank Transfer. If bank transfer payment is preferred, do inform the Jiahui(Zoe) at jiahui@avanta.com.sg details will be send to you.
