Format of the Workshop

The workshop is about 120 minutes. The webinar will be delivered using Zoom which enables participant interaction and allows the session designs to be more engaging.

About Our Speakers

Craig Houliston is a Regional Director at NielsenIQ, who leads the Regional Analytics & Insights Team. Craig started his career with Nielsen UK in 2008, though for the last 10 years has been based in Asia. For 7 years, Craig was based in China where he led the Nielsen relationship for some of the world’s biggest manufacturers and for the last 3 years he has focused on regional analytics and insights. Craig has a Management degree from Aston University and has recently completed the Oxford University Artificial Intelligence Program.

Dr Jack Wong, a neuroscientist by training currently specializes in direct-to-consumer scientific communication and new product innovation. His experience in USA and Southeast Asia markets has strengthened his understanding of the consumer’s behaviour fuelling his thought and innovation process on product development and communications. In Suntory Beverage & Food Asia, he has taken up both scientific and commercial roles which had led to the successful launch of several products in the market in South East Asia.

Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pte Ltd (SBFA) is the APAC headquarters of Suntory Beverage & Food Ltd (SBF). Based in Singapore, SBFA manages 2 product categories – Beverage and Health Enrichment, with many brands in leading positions in their respective national markets. For over 10 years, Pam Leelapatranurak has been working with Decernis (A FoodChain ID Company) as Asian Business Development Manager to support the increasing demands of the Regulatory Compliance Solutions especially in emerging markets. With her experience working at the company head office in Washington DC for over 5 years as well as operating the representative office in Bangkok since 2014, her networks in the industry and understanding of client’s needs are profound. Besides, her multilingual skills in English, Thai, Japanese and French allowed her to better service wide range of clients from different profiles and helped them overcome the challenges in the Food and Consumer Products space.

Yingying Song has been working with Decernis (A FoodChain ID Company) for 5 years, starting at the company head office in Washington DC and re-located to China in 2019. She has been a regulatory specialist for Greater China for 3 years and moved on to the current position of regulatory affairs team lead for Asia-Pacific. She has participated in a wide range of regulatory projects supporting clients in labelling compliance, ingredients review, special food registration requirements, etc. Before joining Decernis, she received MSc and BS in Food Science from the University of Maryland in the US.

Simon Pettman is Executive Director of the International Alliance of Dietary/Food Supplement Associations (IADSA) which is the global association of the dietary supplement industry. He has been closely involved in the organisation since its creation in 1998, developing strategies to shape regulation and policy with governments and industry. This has included work across Asia, the European Union, Latin America and in the global standards setting body Codex Alimentarius.
