1.2 Tournament Rules and Format

  • Tournament Date: 6th Dec 2020 (Sunday)
  • Tournament Format:
    • Single Elimination
    • Prior to Semi-Finals: Best of 1
    • Semi Finals and Grand Final: Best of 3
  • Teams/Players will be provided with a discord channel for reporting upon closure of tournament registration.

1.3 Tournament Requirements

This tournament will be played entirely online.

2. Reporting and Tournament Proceedings

2.1 Tournament Rules

Players will be required to set up their own matches after tournament admins have briefed them.

  • The hosting team will create the custom match lobby with the settings listed below in "2.2 Game Settings" section of the rules.
  • Upon lobby creation, the hosting team will invite the opposing players. You can use your match page the find your opponents information, map, match start time, match ID, etc.
  • Once all players are in the lobby and ready to play (use your match chat to communicate), the hosting team may start the match.
  • Teams will play until one team accumulates 13 round wins.
  • Report your match outcome on your match details section of the Discord channel.

Remember to add the captain of the opposing team before every match begins to ensure a smooth game set up.

Provide your RIOT ID to aid your fellow participants and opponents to add you smoothly. When adding a player or providing your RIOT ID, please make sure the format will be nickname #1234.

2.2 Game Settings

  • Party Status: Closed
  • Map: Ascent, Haven, Bind, Split and Icebox
  • Mode: Standard
  • Server: Singapore 1
  • Agents: Skye will not be banned
  • Allow Cheats: Off
  • Tournament Mode : On
  • Overtime: Win By Two: On
  • Play Out All Rounds: Off

2.3 Map Selection

In group stage and best of one matches:

  • A coin toss will be conducted by tournament admins
  • Winner of the coin toss bans 1 map
  • The opposing team bans another map
  • Winner of the coin toss bans 1 more map
  • The remaining map will be the map to be played

In best of three matches:

  • A coin toss will be conducted by tournament admins
  • Winner of the coin toss picks 1st map for game 1
  • Loser of the game 1 of the best of three series picks 2nd map
  • If there is a third game, loser of game 2 of the best of three series picks the 3rd map

3. General Rules and Discipline

3.1 General Information

Organisers reserve the right to change, modify, or adapt all rules as deemed appropriate in order to uphold and maintain a spirit of overall fairness and good sportsmanship.

Proxy participation

To join a tournament team you may not join the team from a proxy IP address. If a player does so, the team risks disqualification .


Maximum of one substitutes are allow per team. Substitutes can be swapped in in-between matches of the group stage and between games of a best of three series.

Tournament Brackets:

Tournament bracket size might be subject to change depending on the total number of eligible teams at the start of a tournament.

3.2 Gameplay

Out of bounds

Players who move their character outside of the normal boundaries of a map may forfeit the game. Moving outside of the normal boundaries of a map includes but is not limited to part of the character’s body passing through what should be a non-permeable surface or object, and moving into any area from which your character registers shots on an opponent who is not able to register shots on your character.

Weapon variation

Players may only use the default version of each weapon. Use of any weapon variant that has been statistically re balanced or any other restricted item may result in a forfeit of the map/match.

Lags and disconnection

If a player lags out during the first 30 seconds the game should be ended and restarted for all game modes unless damage is inflicted by the opposing team prior to said time.

The team who lost the player should either leave the game, switch to spectator mode, or end the game if that team is host.

If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds and/or after the first kill (damage inflicted), the match must continue.


Any form of cheating; using a glitch, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a disqualification.

Wrong map settings

Hosting wrong settings will result in a forfeit of that map or a disqualification for repeated offences.

Hosting the wrong map will be a replay of the correct map unless the map hosted is included in the current match rotation and the entire map was played out.


The key communication platform will be Discord. Voice and text channels will be provided for your use.

Third party communication is allowed for this tournament. (i.e skype, TeamSpeak, Party Chat, etc.). However, players must be able to communicate with any staff member at all times during the tournament.

The team captain is responsible for his team's actions.

No shows

Tournament matches are expected to be played at the scheduled match time. If an opposing team fails to show up after 10 minutes after the scheduled match time, you must report a no show to live support. We will then contact the opposing team to confirm the no show.

Teams can only play one man down in a tournament match. Not having the required amount of players in the lobby at the time given by a referee will result in a forfeit of the map.

No shows - for best of 3 matches

Teams will have 5 minutes from the no show report time (Refer to No shows rule) to join for map one or risk forfeit of that map. Once a team forfeits first map, they will have an additional 5 minutes to show for second map or risk forfeiting that map. Resulting in a forfeit of the match. Additional time may be given by tournament live support.

Teams have up to 5 minutes between maps.

Non-registered players

If random user or non-registered player enters the room, you must ask them to leave. In no circumstance should the matches begin begin the player leaves.

Match reporting

Tournament matches must be played on time. Delays in the tournament are not permitted unless live support allows a delay.Users have 10 minutes from the time of their opponent(s) reporting a win/loss to dispute the match or report a loss. Teams that fail to report the outcome of their matches risk being temporarily banned from the UMG Online for tournament disruption.

Using a banned item (perk, attachment, gun, etc) will result in a forfeit of the map. Video proof must be provided.


If a dispute occurs teams must contact tournament live support with valid proof of their claims. If live support is offline, users must submit a tournament support ticket. For proof to be considered valid it must be clear, show all gamer tags in the match along with the scoreboard, and must have proof supporting the accusation. (Cheating/Glitching, etc…).
