Character Dance Masterclass for Boys by Mdm Isabelle Hérouard

SOTA Faculty of Dance is delighted to present a 2-day Character Dance Masterclass for Boys, conducted by Mdm Isabelle Hérouard (Teaching Faculty, Paris Opera Ballet School).

The masterclass is open to male dance students of age 11 – 14 years with at least a grade 3 (RAD/CSTD or equivalent) or at least 4 years of dance experience are welcome to sign up for the masterclass. 

Dance teachers are welcome to sign up for class observation. There will be a Question & Answer segment during the last session of her masterclass.

Mdm Isabelle Hérouard

Mdm Isabelle Hérouard has been Professor of Character Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet School in France since 1993.

With training in classical dance, French folk dance, and Character dance in both France and Poland, she has been a guest teacher at the Warsaw Opera Ballet School in Poland, the Chicago Ballet in the USA, and at the Zurich Opera Ballet School in Switzerland. In addition to Character Dance, she also teaches barre-à- terre and coordination.

Notes for Dance students:

• Students should be properly attired for the masterclass:
  
  • A form-fitting shirt (preferably white)
  • Black leggings or shorts
  • Black Jazz shoes (or ballet shoes, if participant does not own jazz shoes)

• Students must fill in a consent form (signed by parents) prior to attending the masterclass.
