Speaker 1: Mr Andy Wee - General Manager, IES-INCA

With a strong engineering background, having spent 13 years in Hewlett Packard inProduct Design R&D, Andy has a keen interest in making technology work to create better life for everyone.

In 2014, Andy took time off to pursue a Masters in Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation at NTU's Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre, achieving a Director's List award for outstanding performance.Andy’s interest in technology spans from deeptech, web and mobile app, personal mobility devices, online and offline data storage backup solutions, medical health supplements, natural fertility and beyond.

Speaker 2: Mr Mike Ng - General Manager, Economic Promotion (International), SSTEC

Mr Mike Ng has been appointed the General Manager, Economic Promotion (International) of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co. Ltd since Nov 2021. He has more than 25 years’ experience in international business development, government policy & program management, food & beverage, public speaking, audit and finance operations in both the public and private sectors.

Prior to this, Mr Ng spent 17 years of his corporate career with International Enterprise Singapore (now known as Enterprise Singapore) covering International Operations for Europe, South Americas and India, Capability Development and Finance. Mr Ng started his professional career as a statutory auditor and held several key appointments in the food and beverage sector during his career.

He holds a Nanyang Fellows MBA and a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours), both from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Mr Ng also attended in-campus executive courses at UC Berkeley, The Wharton School and Georgetown University. Mr Ng is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a Distinguished Toastmaster with Toastmasters International.

Speaker 3: Ms Celestine Khoo - Senior Director, SUTD

Celestine is a senior director at the Singapore University of Technology and Design where she leads the venture building, incubation and entrepreneurship initiatives. In addition to her vast public policy, investment and commercial experience, she was bitten by the startup bug after a stint in a start-up and is passionate about mentoring and supporting startups and deep tech spinoffs. She also leads SUTD’s co-investments in affiliated spinoffs and startups.

Founded in July 2009, the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (SSTEC) is the master developer of the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City (the Eco-City). It is a 50-50 joint venture between a Chinese Consortium led by Tianjin Infrastructure Investment Group and a Singapore Consortium led by Keppel.

As the master developer, SSTEC works closely with the governments and private sectors of China and Singapore, as well as other international partners, to plan and develop the Eco-City. SSTEC is committed to building a sustainable Eco-City that is ecologically friendly, socially harmonious and resource efficient. Its role includes the development and sale of residential, industrial and commercial properties; transfer of land; leasing of industrial projects; construction of infrastructure and property management.
