About this event
Experience the oldest part of Chinatown, which is traditionally associated with the Hokkien and also the South Indian Muslim community, who settled along the original water front that ran along today’s Telok Ayer Street.
This is part of the series of monthly Chinatown tours conducted by URA's volunteer guides from the Friends of the Museums.
Registration will open on 14 Oct 2022 at 10.00am and close on 18 Oct 2022 at 10 .00am or earlier depending on availability of spaces.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO TAKE NOTE OF, BEFORE YOU REGISTER
1) Admission is free with PRE-REGISTRATION but spaces are limited to 15 pax.
2) Each person is entitled to one slot per session ONLY so please do not block book slots under one person's name or email.
3) We will make an exemption for family members booking on behalf of a parent or child. While the email may be the same (for family members for example), the participant's name must be of the actual person attending the session and be as on your NRIC/Passport.
4) Should you be registering for a friend, your friend's name, email and telephone number should be reflected as well and not that of the person booking. We seek your kind assistance on this.
Things to bring along:
1) Earphones or earbuds with the standard jack - not Bluetooth. This is for use with our Audio Guide.
2) Umbrella or poncho in case of rain
3) Water
Do note that the tour will proceed rain or shine.
Please do inform us or cancel your ticket in the event you are unable to attend so that the space can be given up to someone else.
As the tour commentary has been developed by each individual docent, we would appreciate it if you do not audio or video record the trail.
