Chinatown - Nanyang Dreams: A Journey of Survival and Hope
Overview
Nanyang, the “Southern Seas,” was a land of promise but also uncertainty.
Discover how men and women left everything behind in search of survival and forged new lives here. From temples and shophouses to bustling streets and markets, we bring their fragile hopes and fierce hearts to life.
Our journey begins at one of Singapore’s earliest streets, Telok Ayer, and follows the immigrant path into the heart of Chinatown. Every stop reveals a chapter of their hopes and struggles.
Join us and see how their lives unfold, and in doing so, come to appreciate the rich history that still lives in Singapore’s streets.
