CLAPPS Conference 2018

The Musicians Guild of Singapore is a professional body for musicians working in Singapore. We champion the rights and interests of musicians and music.Formed in 2014 by a group musicians, the Guild is a public company limited by guarantee with a distinguished Board of Directors and Patron.The Guild has been awarded a Seed Grant from the National Arts Council.

The second CLAPPS (Composers, Lyricists, Arrangers, Producers, and Performers in Singapore) Conference will be held on 9 - <A TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">10 February 2018</A> at LASALLE College Of The Arts. 
Masters for this year include Tat Tong, Charlie Lim, Rahimah Rahim, George Leong, Bang Wenfu, Mohamad Rasull, Edmund Lum, Kevin Mathews, Dr Tim O'Dwyer, Aya Sekine, Mike Spinks, Foundation Music (Clarence & Kevin), DPA (Francis Lai). 
 CLAPPS aims to serve as: • an annual platform for practitioners within the music industry to share and exchange knowledge and expertise in the areas of composition, production, marketing and distribution  • an annual networking event for the music industry to keep abreast of developments and trends within the scene CLAPPS Songwriting Conference will focus on the various phases of the songwriting process from composition through arranging to production and distribution and performance. 
 Highlights of CLAPPS will include: • Masterclasses where experienced and renowned musicians will provide critique and advice to aspiring songwriters  • Panel discussions where key players in the scene will discuss and address key issues faced in the scene <A TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">today</A> • Workshops where musicians in the industry can experience or engaged in sharing sessions by professionals • Performance platform for musicians
