About this event
This workshop builds on the idea that in today’s creative landscape, we can and should influence and inspire each other in positive ways.
Together with illustration artist Yellow Mushmellow, create a unique, collaborative hand-painted artwork that will live on the walls of the National Design Centre’s roof!
Be inspired by the different creative styles and expressions of your fellow participants.
Alone we can go fast, but together we can go further!
This workshop is limited to 17 pax.
All materials will be provided. No prior art background is required.
Workshop Schedule
- 30 mins: Introduction to mural painting and handy tricks and tips e.g. how to use a limited colour scheme to make colours pop, how to create flat colours with layering and creating your own expressions
- 3.5 hours: Painting of characters
- 2 hours: Adding “collaborative” embellishments to mural and final touch-ups
There will be a lunch break from 1PM - 2PM.
About the Artist
Nur Aida Sa’ad, Yellow Mushmellow
Yellow Mushmellow is an artist who believes in seeing magic in everyday things. With humour and playfulness, her whimsical ideas and illustrations bring the seemingly mundane to life by exploring fun and interesting points of view. A lot of her work also draws from personal experiences, making it relatable to many.
