Introduction to Scratch
Students will begin by exploring the Scratch interface, learning how to navigate the stage, sprites, and coding blocks. They will be introduced to fundamental programming concepts such as sequences, loops, conditionals, variables, and event broadcasting. Through interactive exercises, students will create simple projects to reinforce these concepts, gaining hands-on experience in structuring logical code and problem-solving within Scratch.
Design your own Exciting Maze Project in Scratch!
Building on the concepts learned, students will apply their knowledge to create a Maze Project in Scratch. They will design and program a maze game where a character navigates through obstacles using controls, conditionals, and event broadcasts. This session will encourage creativity and logical thinking while reinforcing programming concepts through a fun, interactive project. By the end of the workshop, students will have a working game and a strong foundational understanding of coding in Scratch.
