About this event

For Individual Contributors & Generalists

Communication succeeds because we agree on meaning.

🗣️ We use language to create meaning and build trust.

🪢 When we trust someone or someone trusts us, it enables power.

👑 With power, we can reshape language.

This cycle is critical for anybody navigating the modern workplace, especially individual contributors and generalists, who have to adapt quickly and build influence without formal authority.

In this workshop we will learn how to identify the trust gap and ways to build trust and enable power in interpersonal (1:1) situations.

Whether you’re an individual contributor, a generalist wearing multiple hats, or someone looking to communicate more effectively upwards, downwards, or sideways — you’ll leave with a clear understanding and a practical framework to Communicate With Intention.

🔑 What You’ll Learn

  • Learn how meaning is created through communication — and why every message builds or erodes trust.
  • Analyse your audience more deeply — moving beyond stereotypes to influence without formal authority.
  • Apply intentions to shape outcomes — and see how your intentions influence success.
  • Build trust through language — using “speech acts” to communicate clearly and intentionally.
  • Practice in real scenarios — with improv exercises and roleplays based on everyday workplace challenges.

🧩 Workshop Format

  • 6 hours of guided learning (with lunch break)
  • A mix of theory, reflection, and practice
  • Hands-on exercises that turn insights into action
  • Final AMA + group coaching hour (optional office hours to go deeper)

✨ Who This Is For

  • Individual contributors who want their voices to carry more weight in meetings.
  • Generalists who need to adapt quickly across teams and contexts.
  • Emerging leaders building influence and trust with colleagues and managers.
  • Anyone who wants to communicate more intentionally and close the trust gap.
