About the Programme

No silence here as we gather to read aloud and listen to stories' highs and lows. Discover books that you might have otherwise missed, or sit in for an alternative community reading experience.Co-organised with Read-Aloud Sg Book Club. For adults.

Online Programme/Event Administrative Information

  • This programme is conducted entirely online. You may access Zoom via the app or using a web browser
  • Please ensure that you enter a valid email address as you will receive an email with the link to the online programme/event near the day of the programme/event
  • The link of the programme should not be shared with others
  • Do ensure you have a strong internet connection. Using your mobile data is not recommended
  • The National Library Board, Singapore (NLB) reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify or refuse admission to any registrant without any reason and notice

Important programme information:

  1. Participants will take turns to read aloud different lines/sections from the selected book.
  2. Upon joining the virtual room, you will be given a number at the front of your name so you’ll know when it is your turn to read aloud.
  3. Participants will be asked to introduce themselves at the start of the session.
  4. There will be short ‘breaks’ in the middle and at the end of the session, where you can discuss what you have just read.
  5. This programme is targeted at adults.
  6. No prior reading is required before the session.
