Who is this course for?

This course is for individuals living with schizophrenia (diagnosed or undiagnosed) who feel socially withdrawn, anxious in public, or disconnected from others. It's designed to help you regain confidence and reconnect with the world.

Is this course only for people who already take medication?

Accepted Answer

No. You can join whether or not you're on medication. During your first session, the therapist will ask about your situation to tailor the support to your needs.

What does “community confidence” mean?

It means feeling comfortable and safe in your daily environment — like talking to people, leaving your home, or doing simple activities like shopping, visiting family, or going to work.

Is this group therapy?

No. This is a 100% private, one-on-one therapy course. It’s just you and the therapist, at a pace that feels safe for you.

What happens in each session?

Each session lasts 90 minutes and focuses on helping you manage thoughts, feel safer around others, and slowly practice social confidence. The sessions are gentle and supportive — nothing is forced.

What if I have trouble speaking or focusing during sessions?

That’s okay. The therapist is trained to work with different energy levels and thinking styles. You’ll never be judged, and you’ll always be supported with patience.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Can I do this course online?

Yes. If coming in person is not practical or comfortable, all sessions can be arranged online. Please let us know your preferred format when booking.

Is this course suitable during an acute psychotic episode?

Accepted Answer

No. This course is designed for individuals who are currently stable and under medical supervision (e.g., already working with a psychiatrist or taking prescribed medication). If you’re in acute distress, we recommend seeking psychiatric support first.

How flexible is the scheduling?

We offer full flexibility to accommodate energy levels and consistency. Sessions are typically once per week but can be adjusted based on what feels manageable.
