About Speakers
1. Jackson Tan, Founder, Black Design
Jackson Tan is a Singaporean artist, designer and curator. (Born in 1974). Creative director of multi-disciplinary creative studio, BLACK. Founding partner of artist collective, PHUNK . Creator of Art-Zoo, a fun and immersive world that explores nature through the perspective of art. He has collaborated with brands and organizations such as Nike, MTV, Asian Civilisations Museum, DesignSingapore Council, Herman Miller and UNIQLO. Some of his notable projects include the ubiquitous brand identity of SG50, to celebrate Singapore's golden jubilee. He was awarded 'Designer of the Year' in 2007 by the President's Design Award, the highest accolade for designers in Singapore.
2. Ms Karin Aue, Design Director, Chemistry
Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, Karin Aue's consultancy and design expertise was honed in London, Zurich and Tokyo, prior to joining Chemistry over 8 years ago. Her role as partner and Design Director within Chemistry straddles a wide range of areas. From delivering high-quality service design solutions to research studies and strategic stakeholder engagements. Karin has led projects for corporate and public clients, such as Visa, Singtel, Konica Minolta, IMDA, MOH and Changi Airport.
