Under the guidance of washi artisan Yoshinao Sugihara, you’ll:

  • Explore the captivating story of Japanese washi paper from its ancient origins to its modern-day artistry.
  • Craft your own personalised letter set and envelope using the unique “chigiri-washi” (torn washi) technique.
  • (Optional) Have your letter mailed from Washi no Sato (Hometown of washi) in Japan, with a special commemorative postmark.
