"Cultivating a Humanitarian Mindset" Workshop Series

"Building an effective Corporate Social Responsbility Programme with Humanitarian Mindset"

The GoodWater Company (TGWC) will be conducting a series of modules on Cultivating a Humanitarian Mindset (CHM). This is specially designed for both Humanitarian enthusiatist whom are interested in Humanitarian Missions, and Corporates whom are interested in embarking on Overseas CSR programme.

The CHM series consist of 4 modules, which will be running every 4th Thursday of the month. You could decide on the modules depending on your interest and requirements.

About the Trainer

Mr Edwin Soo is an adventurer and a humanitarian with years of experience in international response to disaster and relief. With his added strength and skills in media, he has produced video documentaries on disasters to educate and promote awareness of the scale of the calamity, to raise the funds needed for aid programs to alleviate the suffering of the survivors, and to be a voice for the voiceless among those left behind.

He has responded to a number of major natural disasters such as the Nepal earthquake, the Turkey earthquake, the Taiwan earthquake, the China earthquake, the Asian tsunami, and some man-made disasters and complex emergencies in Sudan and in Afghanistan.

He has attended CCTP Terrorism 101 training and have operated in some non-permissive environments like Afghanistan and Darfur, Sudan. He was also a consultant to an outdoor/camping outfitter in Singapore. He has previously provided training for the Singapore Media Academy, Canon Singapore, various churches and organizations, American NGOs and other humanitarian agencies such as the International Disaster Response Network (IDRN) and HAND (Humanitarian Assistance Networking for Development).

Edwin graduated from Fordham University with an International Diploma in Humanitarian Aid and completed the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course from NAEMT.

The nearest MRT station is Macpherson, exit via Exit B to Arumugram Road. Walk towards the Starhub Building and UB Point is located a few blocks down the street.
