Have you ever been drawn by those onscreen scenes where the cool couple wows the crowd on the dance floor? Or have you’ve always wanted to try out Tango but worry that you’d need a partner first, or that you’ll feel awkward in a room of strangers? If so, welcome to Curious Parties - a fun and safe space for you where we invite you to let go of those fears and discover what happens when you allow yourself to say ‘Yes’ just for one evening!
This beginner-friendly Tango workshop focuses on fun rather than perfection. Tango is more than a dance; it’s a conversation. It teaches us to listen—not just to the music or our partner, but to ourselves. How much do you lean in and be present? Or how much do you hold back? No dance experience or partner needed as you’ll learn the basics of tango, how to move with intention and connect with others. You might just surprise yourself with how quickly you pick it up or even uncover a hidden talent!
In this workshop, you’ll:
- Learn The Tango Walk: Master the art of walking with intention and grace as you find balance, posture, and confidence in your movement.
- Learn the dynamics of leading and following: Move beyond steps—sense, listen, and harmonise with your partner.
- Discover the art of connection: Explore the balance between independence and connection as you communicate without words
- Meet New Folks: You don’t need to bring a partner—we’ll rotate and dance with other shy and not-so-shy people like you!
- Build confidence: Step out of your comfort zone in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
Who should attend?
This workshop is for anyone who’s been curious about Tango and thought, “But what if I’m not good at it?”. No one starts out being good at something. It is also for both singles and couples who are looking for a fun night out while trying out something new. This is a safe space where it isn’t about becoming a tango expert —it’s about exploration, meeting like-minded folks and having fun!
Spaces are limited to ensure an intimate experience. Ready to channel that Main Character Energy and have a fun night out?
