About the Programme

Polars is the new, faster, more user-friendly and more pythonic way of working with data in tables (DataFrames). It has recently seen a meteoric rise in popularity. Yi Sheng will share his real experience developing in-production scripts with this new library, after having worked with pandas for so long. He will also introduce common usage and examples of how it is faster and more pythonic than pandas.

About the Speaker

Yi Sheng is a second-career developer who has worked professionally with code for 6 years, first at The Artling, a startup implementing bleeding edge technologies, then AI Singapore where he gained experience with machine learning in industry, and most recently at DBS, analyzing and automating processes with Python scripts and more. He loves hacking away with small scripts and implementing new technologies.
