✨ Meet the facilitators
Dr Andy H. Y. Ho is an award-winning psychologist and educator passionate about helping people navigate life’s final chapters with compassion. A past president of ADEC and Director of Research at PalC, he has developed award-winning programmes that blend science, art, and community care, inspiring conversations about mortality, resilience, and living meaningfully.
Project Gift of Song is a ground-up movement whose mission is to celebrate life and embrace mortality with the comfort of music. To date, we have rallied together 80 volunteers from all walks of life with a shared interest in music.
We serve the palliative care community via two core services:
- Celebrating Life: To empower the terminally ill to celebrate a life well-lived and leave a legacy for their loved ones, by co-creating a “Musical Gift” which honours their life through a musical song.
- Embracing Mortality: To harness music to facilitate community discourse on end-of-life matters beyond whatever words can express, through our [Death, by Music] experience.
Since our inception, we have worked closely with major palliative care providers, charities, and agencies to bring our services to individuals with terminal illnesses. We are a recognized community partner of organizations including the Singapore Hospice Council, Dover Park Hospice, and Ambulance Wish Singapore. Our work has also been featured in the Singapore Palliative Care Conference and Project Happy Apples’ public roadshow, amongst other public platforms.
This activity is organised as part of Singapore Hospice Council's Live Well. Leave Well. Festival 2025. Click here to see more programme highlights.
