Note: $10 per participant is payable to the trainer during class as the projects involve using exclusive materials from Poland.
Decoupage comes from the French word “decouper” which means to cut out.
Modern Day decoupage technique is sticking decorative paper napkin or rice paper cut outs on project surfaces and making it look like it has been painted on. Numerous coats of varnish are then applied to achieve a smooth finish. Nearly any household object can be use for your decoupage project. These can include glass jars, used biscuit tins, tissue boxes and many more.
Using the art of decoupage, participants will work with different surfaces like wood, tin, glass, ceramic, fabric and others. Participants will also be taught on some of the surfaces how to decorate them with different paint effects. Once the surface is prepared, participants will pick their choice of decorative napkins, decoupage paper or rice paper to make it look like it is painted on the surface.
The projects are:
1) Reverse decoupage on square glass bowl
2) Mix Media Decoupage
3) Project Details Pending
