Synopsis

Multinational corporations make extensive use of IP and intangible assets in their global tax planning. This talk will present an overview of how they do this, as well recent developments on how the OECD, EU and various governments are now clamping down on what they perceive as illegitimate tax planning. For example, the EU has aggressively pursued companies like Apple, Amazon, Starbucks etc. We will also look at how Singapore has responded to this global movement.
