Event description
Design Ethics in a Parallel World - opens the conversations around ethics in the intersection of designing in the physical and digital.

About this event

Design Ethics in a Parallel World opens the conversations around ethics in the intersection of designing in the physical (architecture) and the digital (UX) world.

The emerging world of UX indeed shares similar strands to the world of architecture. The basis of both fields grapples with complex ecosystems/ ecologies & social issues. There are in fact parallel terms that both fields use such as, wayfinding & navigation, inclusivity & accessibility; We call it ‘floorplans’ and they call it ‘web layout’.

More recently the question of design ethics is prevalent in both fields. Can the field of architecture and built environment learn a few parallels from the field of UX; and vice versa? Hear from our panellists from the two fields as they unpack some of the current ethical dilemmas they face, and a look into how to address them in practice.
