Course Overview
Ministry of Manpower (MOM) mandated the WSH (Design for Safety) Regulations in 2016. The course will explain the requirements and help learners apply the principles and concepts for new major developments, across its lifecycle (from project inception, concept design, engineering design, construction, operations to demolition)
Course Objective
- Recognising the importance of design for safety and health of a construction project and to proactively eliminate or mitigate such risks throughout the different life cycle of a building and structure
- Understanding the duties and responsibilities of all stakeholders in accordance with relevant legal requirements and WSH (DfS) Regulations
- Consideration of safety and health risks at different phases in the lifecycle of a building and structure Applying hazard identification tools and design risk assessment
- GUIDE process and its implementation in DfS review meetings
