About Our HostSwanie Khoo, founder of Made for Relationships, a counselling and psychotherapy practice, brings a depth of expertise and experience in leading groups. With more than a decade of dedicated practice in counseling and psychotherapy, she comes with passion and devotion, and a lot of compassion to guide and support individuals navigating challenging life transitions, particularly divorce.As a trained psychotherapist specializing in bringing healing and growth, Swanie is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where participants can explore their emotions, share their experiences, and receive the tools needed to move forward with resilience and strength. She understands the complexities of divorce and is dedicated to helping individuals find a path towards healing and empowerment.

Agenda

Co-parenting with an ex-partner can be both challenging and distressing,  and it requires both parents to work collaboratively for the well-being of their child despite their own personal differences. This session, we will discuss effective co-parenting practices and how to navigate common challenges. Effective co-parenting is about compromise, respect, and unwavering focus on the child’s happiness and well-being. While it may require effort and patience, a strong co-parenting relationship can foster a supportive and loving environment for the child, enabling them to thrive despite family changes. Come and join us, and  also hear how other members are coping and managing the co-parenting after divorce to encourage you in the journey as a single parent. 

November 6: Co-parenting after Divorce (includes pre-divorce, or in process) 

This October 2, we will feature a guest lawyer, Mr Chong Yue-En from Bethel Chambers. Through this sharing session, you will gain insight and expert advice, and knowledge of the legal proceedings to make informed decisions when your marriage ends. You could also learn how to plan and manage your divorce, giving you the confidence necessary to: safeguard yourself, collect and organize and manage the vital information needed in your divorce, and negotiate effectively with parties involved with clarity of what is important for you. The session is tailored to meet your needs, especially for you who seeks direction during your divorce process.
