The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam together with Canadian provincial partners, is organizing a live panel webinar on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 08:00 (Vietnam time) | Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 21:00 (Ottawa time).

Panelists for this webinar will include representatives from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, KPMG, Access Asia Group, as well as the Embassy of Canada to Vietnam. The Moderator for this webinar will be Mr. Ryan Leonhard, Business Development Director – Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. The webinar will discuss how SMEs can tap into trade opportunities, achieve the best business strategy, and accelerate business growth in Vietnam. This webinar is targeted for Canadian SMEs in all sectors.

Ryan Leonhard has been a Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam since 2016. In his current role as Business Development Director, Ryan drives Chamber growth by leveraging high-potential collaborations, engaging with Canadian and Vietnamese stakeholders, and seeking out new member opportunities. He also developed the Chamber’s hugely successful Business Services offering, which provides on-the-ground delegation, event, and B2B support for incoming Canadian organizations. Currently, Ryan is finalizing the development of the Chamber’s online Canada-Vietnam product and services portal, and the first Canadian Alumni Network in Vietnam.

Johann Joubert is an Associate Director in KPMG Vietnam's Infrastructure, Government, and Healthcare practice. Johann has more than 12 years of experience in advising clients on market entry, tax structuring, due diligence, and buy- and sell-side advisory. Prior to joining KPMG Vietnam in 2015, Johann spent 7 years with other Big 4 firms in Canada, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. His industry focus includes power, oil and gas, healthcare, and other infrastructure.

Nelson Rand is a founder and managing partner of Access Asia Group, a Canadian-owned risk management firm based in Singapore specializing in due diligence, business intelligence, corporate investigations, and brand protection services across Asia. He has been based in Southeast Asia for much of the past two decades. He holds a Master’s Degree in Asia Pacific Policy Studies from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Asian Studies. He currently leads Access Asia Group’s work in Vietnam, where he has been based for the last five years. He is originally from Calgary.
