Step into a dreamlike world of Echoes of Aminta, a reimagining of Handel’s cantata Aminta e Fillide.Echoes of Aminta explores the illusions we create in love - how we see others not as they are, but as we wish them to be. Drawing on the motif of rose-tinted glasses, the performance delves into the ways we idealise relationships, choosing romantic fantasy over uncomfortable truth.Directed by Isabella Chiam, the work confronts the emotional disconnection of today’s world, peeling back layers of romantic illusion to reveal deeper truths about longing, vulnerability, and the human need for authenticity.
