Join us for an exciting free workshop at the CDL EcoTrain, a unique eco-learning space brought to life by Just Keep Thinking!
Embark on a riveting journey through the CDL MicroForest, a regenerative tropical microforest planted right outside the CDL EcoTrain. Discover how microforests fight climate change, support wildlife and make our cities better places to live in. With a fun mix of outdoor* and indoor activities, interactive learning, and a DIY craft session at the end, this workshop promises to be both engaging and enriching for young nature explorers!

📅 Dates: 6 September, 7 September & Every Saturday and Sunday of the week**
⏰ Time: 11.30AM – 1.00PM (Participants are free to explore the CDL EcoTrain gallery from 12.45PM – 1.00PM)
📍 Location: CDL EcoTrain, outside the main entrance of City Square Mall near Toastbox
👧🧒 Suitable for: Children (only for ages 5 – 13)***
* During dry weather, participants will go on a 20-minute guided outdoor tour through the CDL MicroForest. During wet weather, participants will experience an engaging indoor workshop about the flora and fauna that can be found in microforests.
** Slots open on a rolling basis, 1 week in advance. New slots will be released weekly for the upcoming week to maintain this schedule.
*** This is a drop-off event due to limited spaces, but if slots remain available on the day itself, parent(s) may stay with their child.
Things To Note
Due to the outdoor component of this workshop, we recommend that participants wear covered shoes and bring their own water bottles and caps for this workshop. It is also recommended that participants apply sunscreen and mosquito repellent before the workshop commences. We will not be providing sunscreen and mosquito repellent for participants.
Photos and videos will be taken during the workshop. These photos and videos may include participants’ faces, and may be used as promotional material. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed, please inform our staff on the day of the workshop.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, the workshop is free! However, it is a drop-off event for children aged 5 –13. We will flag registrations for underage children or parents who signed up for themselves, and no-shows without cancellation will be recorded and placed on a lower priority list for future sessions.

Unfortunately, children under 5 will not be allowed to join as the workshop is designed for ages 5 to 13 and is a drop-off session without parent supervision. We’ll be contacting affected parents to cancel and refund tickets if needed.
The workshop will be led by either Biogirl MJ or a trained educator from the Just Keep Thinking team. While we cannot guarantee her availability for every workshop, regardless of who leads, the session will be interactive, engaging, and filled with exciting learning experiences!
Although this workshop includes a 20-minute guided outdoor tour, the workshop will be mainly conducted indoors, in the CDL EcoTrain.
Yes, there is a wet weather plan. During wet weather, participants will stay in the CDL EcoTrain and experience an engaging indoor workshop about the microforests.
Please cancel at least one day in advance if your child is unable to attend. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may result in your name being flagged in our system, which could affect registration priority for future sessions.
To maintain the cleanliness of the train, no food or drinks are allowed inside the exhibition. If you bring any, we kindly ask that you finish them outside before entering. Thank you for helping us keep the EcoTrain clean and enjoyable for all visitors!
Children with allergies or medical conditions are welcome to join as long as they can participate independently. Please indicate any medical conditions in the registration form and inform our facilitators at drop-off.
While our workshop content is not specifically modified for different learning needs, we strive to make it as accessible as possible. If your child requires additional support, we allow one parent to accompany them during the session to ensure they have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Slots will be released on a rolling basis, 1 week in advance. Each week, we will open registrations for the corresponding week ahead, ensuring that slots are always available for booking up to 1 week in advance.

No, the workshop does not include the gallery visit. However, we have reserved the 12:45 PM – 1:00 PM time slot exclusively for participants to visit the exhibition with their parents after the workshop.
Yes, advance registration on Eventbrite is required due to limited slots. Walk-ins may be allowed only if there are available spaces on the day itself.
Priority will be given to children who have not attended a session yet to ensure more kids get the opportunity to join. Please note that the workshop content will be the same for all sessions unless we announce a new workshop series.
