Effective Communication Workshop

Public speaking is an important skill required to communicate knowledge and express ideas to individuals and/or groups of people. It is a primary medium for presenting and selling ideas and/or products. The ability to communicate effectively to individuals and/or to groups is essential in schools, at work, within communities as well as in your personal life.There is a constant need for people who can communicate effectively. This skill set can help in all aspects of your work and social life. If you are good at it or really enjoy speaking to a crowd, you may even choose speaking as a profession.Our coaches are certified in Public Speaking and are continuously upgrading their public speaking skills via a number of avenues.The School of Speaking (SOS) aims to provide the necessary competency training to you, who desire to build, upgrade and maintain the necessary skills in effective speaking. Based on some studies, it is found that many people fear public speaking more than they fear death. This puts public speaking as the number one fear for many people.OUR MISSION"To assist people to overcome the fear of public speaking and to enable them to employ effective communication skills to inform; to persuade; and to inspire others"

The School of Speaking is organising an Effective Communication Workshop entitled -
“Speak with Confidence”

Marymount Terrace

Held over 4 two hours sessions from 10am to 12pm on these following Saturdays:Session 1: 13 June 2020 Session 2: 20 June 2020Session 3: 04 July 2020 Session 4: 11 July 2020Who is this workshop for?This workshop is for anyone, applicable to both youths and adults wanting to be an effective communicator. Take this workshop, ONLY if, you want to IMPROVE your confidence and own a functional, effective, &amp; fruitful relationship with public speaking. DO NOT take this workshop if you have no interest in overcoming your fears to become your better self. ​What is this workshop about?You will learn to be able to:Speak with confidenceDeliver impromptu speeches confidently and effectivelyPrepare and deliver speeches confidently and effectivelyGive positive and constructive feedback to others for improvementAchieve a high level of interpersonal relations skillsUse non verbal languages to make your speech more interesting and effective​Benefits:Be confident when speaking in publicAbility to capture audience attentionAbility to provide effective feedback Perhaps even discover your hidden talent in speaking ​Learning Objectives:Learn techniques to apply to a variety of speaking situations Acquire tools for writing, organising and delivering short speeches Uncover your strengths and weaknesses as an effective speaker​Workshop Fees:Early Bird&#x27;s- $200 (register by 27 May 2020 to enjoy this rate)Usual - $250
