Synopsis
Presented by the Singapore First Aid Training Centre (SFATC), this 30-minute session addresses the urgent challenges of Singapore’s rapidly aging population. Designed for caregivers, families, and communities, it equips participants with essential first aid knowledge and practical strategies tailored to urban and home settings.
The talk covers common elderly emergencies such as falls, stroke, cardiac arrest, choking, and heat-related illnesses. Participants will learn how early recognition, timely intervention, and effective activation of emergency services (995) can save lives.
Key learning areas include identifying safety hazards, applying fundamental first aid principles, using AED and CPR techniques appropriately, implementing preventive measures, and understanding the community’s vital role in elderly safety.
Through real-life examples and practical demonstrations, the session empowers attendees to build safer living environments for older adults and respond confidently in emergencies.

Jeremy is an experienced and dynamic trainer at Singapore First Aid Training Centre Pte Ltd, known for his engaging approach to skill-based learning and communication. With over a decade of experience as a Physical Education teacher and former PE Level Head, he brings strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to his training. His background spans education, sports science, and first aid, supported by certifications such as the NAEMT Instructor (2024) and WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (2023).
