About this event
‘Mixed methods’ is a research approach whereby researchers collect and analyse both quantitative and qualitative data within the same study.
The key word is ‘mixed’, as an essential step in the mixed methods approach is data linkage, or integration at an appropriate stage in the research process. It is also a research design with philosophical assumptions as well as methods of inquiry; its central premise being the use of quantitative and qualitative approaches in combination provides a better understanding of research problems that either approach alone. In this webinar we will provide an overview of mixed methods, along with how to consider a mixed methods approach in your research planning.
