Energy Awareness Workshop Level 1 - Subtle Energy How sensitive are you? What information do you consciously or subconsciously pick up from people, objects and the environment? <ul><li>How does this subtle information affect us in the long and short term? </li><li>How can we feel and use this information consciously in our daily lives? </li></ul>This experiential talk and meditation introduces subtle energy and how our bodies are actually receiving and giving it all the time. Sometimes called chi or prana, there are many forms of it in ourselves and our environment, and hundreds of modalities (mainstream and esoteric) offering different ways to work with it. This introductory talk covers: <ul><li>An overview of well known philosophies and techniques around subtle energy</li><li>What we now know about the human nervous system and how it works with information</li><li>Chakras, meridiens, emotions, and health</li><li>Environmental energies, energy fields (electromagnetic and mechanical)</li><li>How these “pop up” and provide the background to our daily experience</li><li>What factors can affect our sensitivity to energy</li><li>We finish with a short exercise and meditation.</li></ul>First in a series offered by the Singing Bowl Wellness Studio, this is an introduction by Janet Chui, who has studied under various spiritual teachers from East and West. She started in Tibetan Buddhism before seeking other instructors as her supernatural experiences took her down unusual paths. Her background in Journalism proved useful in researching spiritual traditions and documenting her journey; her training in Counselling Psychology has helped her in the grounding principles of her meditation classes, Tarot, and Astrology services. Her oracle deck featuring her art and writing will be coming out in 2021 from Beyond Words Publishing, the award-winning publishers of The Secret and Masaru Emoto’s Hidden Messages in Water.Our Facilitator: Janet ChuiJanet is the artist and creator behind the Self-Love Oracle, a 44-card deck and book set for healing and self-empowerment that features her fantasy, spiritual, and mythological paintings. Drawing since childhood and holding a B.A. in Journalism, Janet is currently studying Counselling Psychology while offering readings in Tarot and astrology. After her experiences with motherhood, divorce, Tibetan Buddhism, healing, and the supernatural, she encourages others to heal through radical self-acceptance and creative expression. She has studied Reiki, Biogeometry, Light Language healing, Alpha Alignment, and under Drunvalo Melchizedek’s program, Awakening the Illuminated Heart.
