EQ Café - Reconnecting to Self
EQ Cafés are interactive, informal workshops created by Six Seconds, the global nonprofit supporting a more emotionally intelligent world.
EQ Café – Reconnecting to Self
Reconnecting with self begins by listening inward. As we get busy, we move quickly, solve problems, and take care of others, often without pausing to notice what we’re feeling or what those feelings are asking of us.
This EQ Café offers space to slow down and reconnect with yourself, not by fixing or judging emotions, but by listening to them.
We’ll use emotions as a pathway to connection; when we allow ourselves to feel with awareness and care, we strengthen our sense of self, clarify what matters, and create the conditions for deeper connection with others. Reconnecting with self is about rebuilding an inner relationship that supports presence, choice, and meaning.
Emotional intelligence (EQ) means being smarter with feelings. It’s learnable, practical, and grows through shared practice. EQ Cafés are reflective, engaging conversations for people who are curious about emotions and want to build insight and connection together.
In this Café, we will explore:
· What does “reconnecting with self” really mean?
· How do emotions function as signals and sources of inner wisdom?
· What gets in the way of listening to ourselves, and how can we shift that pattern?
This Café is an invitation to pause, turn toward your inner experience, and reconnect with the wisdom already present within you.
