About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

A shout out to all busy monkey minds, restless beings or anyone who's on the edge of burning out from your work!

Give yourself permission to rest and join me for a slow wander and wonder in nature. Come find out what is forest or nature bathing, its health benefits, and how it has inspired forest therapy. This is perfect for beginners who are curious about forest or nature therapy, or simply looking to find some slowing down, stillness in your busy lives. And if you are not new to forest bathing, you are also very welcome to join us. Every session is never exactly the same and we will experience nature differently each time too. We will be exploring some sensory-based invitations and holding space for sharings to help deepen our connection with nature, ourselves and other beings. The experience will end with some tea and light snacks in the park.

This experience will be limited to a small group of up to 8 participants and you will be invited to participate as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Come alone, with a friend or family, and know that all is welcomed!

Meet Your Guide

Amelia Lim

Amelia is your friendly next-door neighbour who loves nature, animals and most human beings. She is always curious about the world and enjoy seeking out new ways to live, love and be a little kinder with herself, and also with other beings and the world we live in. Her years of working in the healthcare line has motivated her to explore different ways of self-care to better cope with stresses and life adversities. She is a certified forest therapy guide and Reiki master teacher who indulges in yoga and mindfulness practices when she is not distracted by Netflix or her two cats.

Learning Forest Visitor Services / Drop off Point @ Botanic Gardens. Nearest gate to enter is the Tyersall Gate / National Orchid Garden Gate. By car/taxi, you may park or alight at the Learning Forest Carpark. Kindly note the meeting point may be subjected to last minute changes.

May i join late/halfway or leave earlier?

Preferably not, as the experience would be best enjoyed from start to end. Do note once we depart from the meeting point, we may not be able to check our phone to respond as the session has begun.

May I bring my kids or furkids?

This session is intended for grown up working human beings. However, do drop me a message if you are interested in future possible sessions for kids/teens or furkids. (We may plan one in the near future!)

Any wet weather plan?

We welcome rain as part of our walk and will attempt to continue with the activities should there by only light rain/drizzle with no lightning. Rest assured the wet weather plan will put the safety of all participants first. Bring your brolly or poncho/raincoat in case!
