🌿 What is Forest Therapy?
Forest Therapy is a relational practice that encourages well-being by immersing individuals in nature through a series of invitations. Inspired by Shinrin-yoku or Forest Bathing, participants slow down and engage their senses, deepening their connection to the environment.
🟢 Who should attend?
These guided slow walks in the forest cater to all ages and conditions, fostering a reciprocal relationship between people and nature.
⛅️☔️ This is an outdoor event
Event will proceed in light drizzle, participants may be encouraged to interact with rain. They are welcome to bring their own raincoats or umbrellas too. In the event of heavy rain with lightning, we’ll have to cancel the event unfortunately.
Participants will walk on an easy trail may be required to sit on the ground. Mats will be provided. Please bring a water bottle.
✨Meet the Forest Guide
Yenn Ang is a registered art therapist with Children’s Cancer Foundation. She supports children and youths impacted by cancer through art therapy, and runs arts and nature groups for families and caregivers in bereavement.
Certified as a forest therapy guide, her hope is to introduce the transformative benefits of forest therapy while integrating art and nature harmoniously. Yenn envisions creating a space where individuals connect with the nature, fostering creativity and compassion to enrich the human experience.
Important Notes
- Meeting point: Serene Gardens, Gardens by the Bay.
- Please be dressed comfortably in covered shoes.
- Do bring your own water bottle, insect repellent, umbrella/poncho/raincoat in case of rain.
