The FOSSASIA Summit 2026 will take place on March 9–10, 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand!
Since its founding in 2009, the summit has grown into one of Asia’s most important platforms for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange in the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) ecosystem. Each year, the event brings together thousands of developers, businesses, and community leaders from around the world. Previously hosted in Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand, the summit continues to serve as a central hub for the region’s open source movement.
The 2026 edition will be a 2-day hybrid event, offering both in-person and online experiences. Building on the success of the 2025 summit in Bangkok, which welcomed over 2,800 participants, the event will showcase cutting-edge developments in open technologies while fostering collaboration between enterprises, developers, and educators.
Community Day
Ahead of the main summit, we invite contributors and students to join our Community Day on March 8. This day focuses on OpenSource 101 and software development toolkits, offering hands-on workshops, project collaboration, and practical skills for those starting or deepening their open source journey.
Call for Proposals
The Call for Proposals will open at the end September. We welcome talks and workshops on topics including: Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, DevOps & SRE, Web3, Security, Open Source 101, PGDay & Databases, Hardware, Operating Systems, Web & Mobile Development. Sponsorship Opportunities
