Free After-School Virtual Roblox Coding Mondays/ Wednesdays/Fridays

Age: 7 - 14

Requirements: Basic typing skills. Please notify us if your child needs more attention on basic computer skills.

What is Roblox? Roblox is a children's interactive platform that offers millions of games for kids to play. And if that's not enough, they can create their own games to play and share with their friends! Here at Tokyo Coding Club, our goal is to encourage children and teach them how to create their own games in Roblox, using code! After all, game playing is the most natural way for humans to learn.

Students in our after-school computer science and STEM classes are lucky enough to tinker with coding in Roblox in a good way. The ability to write code and immediately see the results in Roblox, such as implementing game mechanics that can make players jump 100 meters high or create a fun parkour course to leap around will send students running around the classroom from screen to screen to see what their classmates did and shouting the IP addresses of their servers across the room. Instead of thinking they are coding, students are playing a game, they are building their next superpower. Roblox is a game.
