Poplar UnionLondon, England
Saturday, Feb 28, 2026 from 3:30 pm to 6 pm
Overview

Join us for a conscious and mindful Iftar gathering on Feburary 28th 2026. Doors open from 3:30pm.

Welcome to Community Iftar! Poplar Union invite you to join us for the annual Iftar (the breaking of fast for Muslims in Ramadan) event at Poplar Union.

Join us for a special evening of delicious food and meaningful conversations at Poplar Union. Our event will take place on Sat 28th Feburary starting at 3:30pm.

Come together with friends and family to break fast in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This year we are inviting more people to get involved by bringing food to share. This will enable us to get to know eachother better and reduce waste even more!

The blessed month of Ramadan, is a time of sacrifice, deep reflection and deepening our connection to our faith and spirtuality. It is also a time of coming together as a community, sharing of meals playing an important role throughout the month. At the same time we often witness an increase in the use of disposable plastics, food wastage and a doubling of meat in our diet. These habits are not only contributing to the environmental crisis but also contradict our role as stewards of the Earth, having a detrimental impact on our spirituality.

Agenda:

Doors open 3:30pm via Cafe Entrance.

Take a seat and connect with those around you.

Breaking of Fast approx 4pm followed by Maghreb Prayers.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan in a mindful way. We look forward to seeing you there!

You are welcome to bring hot or cold food. Please bring all package or ingredients for allergy info.

If you have allergies please let us know in advance so we can accomodate.

Please also let us know if you don't think you can bring a food item. Email Info@poplarunion.com

Bring your own tupperware for any leftovers!
