About Vivita Singapore

VIVITA is a global not for profit organisation committed to creating a future where children and youth are confident in their own ideas, and are self-directed in their learning. VIVITA believes children and youth have good ideas and an innate curiosity that can be nurtured and developed in the right environment. By removing the limits of a structured curriculum and letting children and youth exercise their agency, VIVITA is crafting a space where the young are free to experiment and explore different ideas which will build a community of self-directed, creative learners who explore new skills without the fear of failure.

Contributing to Creating Inclusive Spaces of Creativity & Exploration for Children

We reserve some slots for children under the Financial Assistant Scheme (FAS) or Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) to participate in these special programmes for free. If your child is under FAS or CHAS and are interested in our programmes, please write in to us at [hello@vivita.sg](mailto:hello@vivita.sg) to make arrangements.

For participants who are not yet Vivita members, we can arrange for your child to sign up at the end of the session.

Every time you participate in our paid programs or work with us on a project, you are helping us to create more inclusive spaces for creativity and exploration in Singapore! Revenue from our programs and services supports our free programs such as our regular Tinker Time which are open-ended makerspace sessions, and community outreaches for children and youth from diverse backgrounds. It also helps us to support our work with other non-profits working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Thank you for joining us in making a difference in empowering the next generation to explore, innovate and create with #nolimits!

About your facilitators:
Jasmine is a multi-disciplinary designer and maker who is passionate about challenging perceptions of everyday objects and materials. Her work was featured in "Visions of the Future," an exhibition by DesignSingapore in 2021, alongside works from seven other emerging Singaporean designers. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design (Hons) from the National University of Singapore. During her three-year tenure at a local design studio, Hans Tan Studio, Jasmine developed a deeper interest in graphic design while working on graphical pattern designs. This experience fuelled her passion and expanded her skill set in the field. Now going into her fourth year at Vivita Singapore, she has honed her skills in facilitating and designing programs tailored to children and hopes to inspire young learners with her passion for making and design.

Vivien is a passionate designer who harnesses the power of design to drive social change, both on a small and large scale. While pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design (Honours) at the National University of Singapore, she honed her front-end programming skills and developed a keen interest in using digital parametric software as a tool for both product and graphic design. Vivien values empathy in creating meaningful designs, particularly in facilitating workshops and programs. She also has a strong passion for the importance of visual design and user experience (UX), believing that well-crafted visuals and intuitive UX are crucial in making products accessible, engaging, and effective. In her free time, Vivien splits her time between helping underprivileged children in their educational growth, as well as her own hobbies — including climbing, crocheting and more!
