💡 What can you expect from this workshop?

For many hospitalised patients in their final moments, returning home to die in a familiar and comforting space is an important last wish. When every hour counts, HCA Hospice honours this final wish and is the only organisation in Singapore that facilities round-the-clock compassionate discharges, even on weekends and public holidays.

✨ Meet the speakers

Dr Keson Tay

Dr Keson Tay is a Senior Resident Physician with HCA Hospice, which delivers patient-centred, family-focused care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses. He is interested in clinical ethics and is completing a Master's in Bioethics from Monash University, Australia. He is an adjunct tutor at the Centre for Biomedical Ethics, National University of Singapore. As an educator, he is passionate about highlighting the humanistic side of palliative care.


Ms Ng Wan Ru

Ng Wan Ru is an Advanced Practice Nurse and Senior Nurse Manager at HCA Hospice, with a passion for supporting patients and families through their end-of-life journey at home. With years of experience in hospice and palliative care, she now focuses on mentoring nurses and improving care standards in the community.

Beyond her work at HCA, Wan Ru has contributed to national efforts in strengthening palliative care education and nursing development through the Singapore Hospice Council and Ministry of Health. She believes strongly in empowering families and healthcare teams to ensure a compassionate and dignified discharge for every patient.
