SG60 x Improv with Me2

Event Description:

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th birthday, Me2 Centre of Inclusive Arts is proud to launch the SG60 Campaign—a nationwide initiative that sponsors 60 individuals with disabilities across three signature programmes: Improv with Me2, Create with Me2, and Artist Development with Me2.

This Eventbrite listing is for Improv with Me2, a dynamic and inclusive session where participants learn essential life and social communication skills through the power of improvisational theatre.

This unique session blends improv theatre with real-world scenarios to build confidence and essential communication skills. Participants will explore everyday tasks like buying a meal and taking the bus through lrole-play, and guided support in a safe, sensory-aware space.

What Participants Will Learn:

  • Social communication skills through guided improv
  • Community living skills: ordering food, public transport etiquette
  • Confidence, creativity, and collaboration
  • How to express, respond, and connect with others

About SG60 Campaign:
To mark Singapore’s 60th year, we are sponsoring 60 participants with disabilities to experience the power of the arts in building life skills. This is our gift of inclusion, dignity, and possibility—one story at a time.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Singaporean Individuals with disabilities 18 years old & above (PRs & Foreigners to self-pay)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder & Intellectual Disability (includes Down Syndrome)
  • Copy of NRIC of person(s) with disabilities
  • Proof of permanent disability of person(s) with disabilities [e.g. latest doctor’s memorandum, membership card of Social Service Agency Organisation (SSA) providing disability services recognised by SG Enable, Public Transport Concession Card (if any), and/or educational certificates from special education schools (if any)]
  • Family facing financial challenges (proof of orange or blue CHAS)

Date: 19/08/2025 to 17/10/2025 (Tuesdays and Fridays)
Time: 5x1hr lesson (10am-11am) + 3hrs Learning Journey on every 6th lesson (9:30am – 12:30pm)

Fee: FREE for 60 sponsored participants (Registration required)
