About this event
Join us for Functional Breathwork in Jardim da Estrela!
Practical, science-backed breathing techniques you can use every day to improve clarity, resilience and energy.
I’m Charlotte and I'm a functional breathwork coach - which basically means I help people breathe more deeply, more easily and more often. It's a pretty great job 😉
The practice for this week
• We’ll explore the 3-part breath—from collarbone to chest to diaphragm—and learn how each area contributes to the way we breathe. By becoming aware of these different zones, you’ll gain more control, efficiency, and freedom in your breathing.
• Then we’ll practice gentle breath holds, comparing how it feels to pause after an inhale versus after an exhale. You’ll discover how these simple holds can shift your state, reveal your body’s signals, and become powerful tools for balance and resilience.
🗓 Thursday, August 28 (Note: exceptionally on Thursday, usually these sessions are on Fridays)
🕗 8:00–8:45 am
📍 Jardim da Estrela (exact spot shared after registration)
What to bring? A mat, blanket, or pillow - just anything that lets you sit or lie down comfortably.
P.S. The ambition is to do this weekly so if you can't make this date, follow to stay updated on events for the following weeks ☺️

Nope. This session is for everyone, especially if you’re new to breathwork.
No, this is meant to be down-regulating and functional breathing. In this session, there will be no hyperventilation, no breathholds, nothing too activating or stimulating. This is going to be accessible to everyone and anyone.
Anything comfortable. It's not an exercise class but any activewear or loose clothes are perfect.
In most cases, yes, especially since this is a light and gentle session. If you’re unsure, let me know.
Completely up to you. I typically start with sitting but whenever you feel like you want to, you're more than welcome to lie down.
